Inside The Syringe
What is BOTOX®?
BOTOX is a purified form of botulinum toxin type A, also known as onabotulinumtoxinA. It’s a neuromodulator, meaning that it temporarily relaxes the muscles that cause facial wrinkles. By blocking nerve signals to certain muscles, BOTOX smooths dynamic lines (caused by repetitive facial movements like frowning or squinting).
While the term “botulism toxin” can sound intimidating, BOTOX has a long-standing safety record and is FDA-approved for cosmetic and medical use.
