Redefining Radiance
What is a Revision Rhinoplasty?
A revision rhinoplasty, also known as a secondary rhinoplasty, is a corrective cosmetic surgery that addresses cosmetic and functional issues created by a previous rhinoplasty or that were not fully resolved. A revision rhinoplasty is often more complex than a traditional rhinoplasty because the surgeon has to navigate a nasal structure that has already been altered. Cartilage grafts, usually from the septum, ear, or rib, are used to rebuild the nasal structure, reshape bone and cartilage, manage scar tissue, and repair internal breathing passages. Internal incisions may also be used.
